Nowadays, the confusion around beliefs, religion and faith is growing more and more every day. The enlarging number of spiritual gurus and practices, the feeling of being lost and the fact that the masses don't know what to believe in anymore, turns into a huge issue within the collective. The new trend is being spiritual, using sage to cleanse your house and your mind, crystals to heal yourself and meditation to connect with your higher self. There is nothing wrong about all this, in fact I also use these practices in my daily routine. But the reality is that many people use the whole spiritual ‘’new Earth’’ trend in their favor and turn it into a money making tool. History proved that this is one of our favorite things as humans - to turn good ideas into something shallow in order to create material flow and gain power over others and their lives. Again, nothing bad about earning from your skill set and if that includes energy healing, reading the future or being educated on crystals, tarot or astronomy, that’s great. But the question is: are you genuine when you use these tools and do you really ‘’channel’’ from the universal informational field, or you are just a good manipulator and narcissist who is the next brainwasher using mind games over the lost and confused population?
Overcoming confusion in order to find YOUR true belief and spiritual path is probably one of the most important projects in your life. There are some people out there who are born within religion and the rules of that religion are the only reality they know. Not given the chance to explore their real nature and personal preferences when it comes to choices and even love, they are forced to believe that everything is up to the higher force. You would be surprised to hear how many people raise their kids this way, especially in America. This is something popular in the Muslim countries as well. For instance, many young people in the Muslim world fast and the reason is unclear. Some personally shared with me that they do it because of their families, their spouses, the society they grew up in or even for dietary reasons. They already lost the whole meaning somewhere between expectations and obligations. The main idea of performing fasting during the Holy month of Ramadan is to actually be able to feel what the poor people experience when they don’t have food and to follow the example of prophet Muhammad. The final outcome is supposed to make you more humble and empathetic to other people’s situation and I think that’s beautiful. But again, the majority of the people forgot the initial intention of fasting and forgot its true meaning. Therefore, it turns into some kind of feast after dark where they eat everything they can in order to fulfill their cravings. Most of the time they stay up till late and by sunrise they would go back to fasting, waiting the whole day for the sunset to come to be able to eat again. I am not sure what this roller coaster creates in their bodies and minds, especially when it’s for the wrong reasons. Of course, Christianity and other religions have their own restrictions and rules which are followed blindly by the masses without questioning them. Thinking for yourself is essential and eventually, if you don't do it, you might end up living by someone else's rules your entire life.
As I mentioned earlier, besides organized religion, recently there are other ‘’New age’’ practices that became very popular. There are all these people with different versions of the truth, different concepts of what God is - the higher consciousness, the universe or even the nature itself. These teachers believe in all these different energies around us which interfere with our lives. In my humble opinion, there is some truth in all these statements. Some of these healers mention that they channel entities from other dimensions, aliens or even prophets and messiahs like Jesus. This can be extremely confusing for most people. Breaking old patterns is definitely the motto of the era we live in. I truly believe that the old methods don't work anymore and the people should be able to connect with themselves and wake up to pull the wire that connects them to certain systems and outdated beliefs. The problem starts when this process is used again in the wrong way or the wrong reasons. It could bring even more confusion to the already lost audience which desperately seeks some answers to the universal questions.
Actually, each one of us is having all the tools which enable us to find the truth, but we are so wrapped up in following other voices that we actually turn off the sound of your own intuition. Wanting to understand the world and seek for answers is the first step, educating is the second one, specially in a world which enables us to have access to so much information. We have the opportunity to explore human history, facts, and everything we need to know in order to build the foundation of our beliefs. Of course, this has its pros and cons and it's one of the reasons for the massive confusion. Used in the right way, the access to so much information can be an amazing tool to see the world from a different perspective and understand that no leaders, gurus or pastors can be the only sources of the ultimate truth of your existence. The third step means exactly this - filter all this knowledge you read to hear trough your prism and see if that resonates with yourself.

Not everything is black or white. Believing blindly in the dualistic nature of the world or having radical and extreme opinion is always a slippery path. Considering and respecting other people’s truth is essential, listening and observing the world is crucial, combining the information and forming your personal unique view of the world is the goal. Once you do that, your mind won’t be clouded by other people’s noise as much. You will be able to stand like a rock in the world and see everything from a higher point of view. There are a lot of beautiful paths - for instance, I really resonate with Buddhism and the path of Aloha. There are also lots of genuine teachers and practitioners who vibrate according to the universal voice, holy texts that consist a lot of strong words which help people during hardships, religions that can manage to help you during your journey of finding your truth. The question is are you willing to go out and search for it?
Find your path,
XoXo
